2024: The Year of 4TFM!

Becoming a 4TFM Instructor in 2024

As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on one of the most transformative milestones in my career—becoming a certified 4th Trimester Fitness® Method (4TFM) instructor. This journey has been deeply personal, shaped by my own postpartum experiences, and fueled by a desire to empower other moms on their paths to recovery and wellness!

My Journey to Certification

The decision to pursue the Postpartum Recovery Fitness certification was born out of my own struggles after childbirth. Experiencing pelvic organ prolapse and diastasis recti firsthand, I understood the physical and emotional challenges that many moms face. This certification provided me with the tools and knowledge to not only heal myself but also to guide other mothers through their recovery journeys with confidence and compassion.

The process was both rigorous and rewarding. From studying anatomy and postpartum recovery techniques to learning how to structure safe and effective fitness classes, every step deepened my understanding and strengthened my commitment to serving postpartum moms. By the time I officially completed my certification on August 31, I was ready to launch a program designed to meet moms where they are—whether they are weeks, months, or even years postpartum.

Expanding Offerings and Serving More Moms

Since earning my certification, I’ve been thrilled to expand my offerings in ways that directly address the needs of postpartum women. Earlier this year, I launched the Prep4Birth™ Birth Ball Clinic, a 4th Trimester Fitness® Method class designed specifically for pregnancy. This clinic empowers expectant moms with exercises and techniques to prepare their bodies for labor and birth, whether they are planning a vaginal or cesarean delivery. The enthusiasm and positive feedback from moms attending this clinic have been incredible!

Following that, I introduced the Postpartum Recovery® Fitness series, a six-week program designed to help moms rebuild strength, improve core function, and rediscover their sense of self. The response has been incredibly heartwarming, with moms sharing how the classes have helped them feel stronger, more connected to their bodies, and supported in their motherhood journeys.

This summer, I also started free Workout + Walk meetups for moms. These casual gatherings were such a fun way to connect, make new friendships, and support each other in a relaxed outdoor setting. I’m already looking forward to bringing these back when the weather warms up in 2025!

In addition to these in-person classes, I’ve also been working on virtual offerings to provide more flexibility for busy moms. The ability to bring this support into their homes is something I’m incredibly excited about as we move into 2025.

Looking Ahead to 2025

With the foundation laid in 2024, I’m eager to continue growing and evolving in the coming year. My vision for 2025 includes expanding postpartum support through new classes, creating a digital library of on-demand workouts, and further strengthening the sense of community among the moms I serve. Whether through in-person connections or virtual offerings, my goal is to make fitness and recovery accessible to every mom who needs it.
